A Vision and Mission defines the organization, promotes internal coherence, and provides guidance for decision making. They also create clarity and focus for the individuals in the ministry regarding who they are and what they stand for as a spiritual community.
Statistics show that ministries thrive when they are clear about who they are, who they serve, and where they are going. A grass-roots community creation of a collective vision, mission, core values, and spiritual intentions (next bold steps) invites success, as well as ownership.
Additionally, after completion of this developmental processes, the spiritual leadership team or Board will prioritize the intentions and create goals and actions that resonate with a “thriving ministry” model.
For accountability, achievement dates and champions are then assigned to support the demonstration of each action. All of these work together for success and are integral to the creation of a thriving and intentional mission-centric congregation.
A community experience of the event participants will be created through the weaving of the accomplishments of the weekend into the Sunday Service on April 30 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ron’s lesson will focus on the vision and mission as a tool for creating a thriving ministry model, and as a foundation for launching an exciting future.
