Rev. Jimmie Scott
On the road ahead, one of the greatest gifts is being mindful of the present moment. This is because each moment is an opportunity to rise to the unseen and unexpected.
In each moment we can pray, we can forgive, we can envision, and anticipate holy outcomes, instead of wondering what the next moment holds.
This level of proactive anticipation gives us the agility of character necessary to avoid the potholes of life, which in turn, makes for a smoother journey.
I held a moment in my hand,
Brilliant as a star,
Fragile as a flower,
A shiny sliver out of one hour.
I dropped it carelessly.
O God I knew not
I held opportunity.
