Rev. Ron Fritts
Serving you as your Transition Consultant is proving to be both exciting and challenging. I am honored because I know of the great work you do and the bright light you are as a community for San Antonio and our Unity movement. But I also believe there are even greater possibilities.
One of your strengths is that you have such capable leaders. But as I shared with you last week, they need even more support from you, and to be all you can be requires more members to step into leadership. So I invite you to consider how you can give a little more of your time, talent, and treasure.
Here’s one opportunity for you to do that. On my next visit, we will participate in a workshop entitled, “Honoring Our Past, Creating Our Future,” on Saturday, March 25. This is a look at the history of this congregation to be proud of some things and learn from others to do even better in the future. The experience is best when a diversity of new members and long-time members is present. It lasts from 9:00 a.m. – 4: 00 p.m., so it takes real commitment to participate.
On Sunday after church on March 26 at 1:00 p.m., we will have a Self-Reconciliation Circle which is a sacred ritual that is always meaningful. Please consider making these two events a priority for your time. And thank you for the gift of supporting you in this transition.
