“Let’s Get Emotional”
Guest Speakers Courtney Holton and Maggie Alderman
What is Emotional Intelligence? If we are Whole, Complete, and Perfect in Absolute Truth, why is it important? Maggie and Courtney will introduce us to Emotional Intelligence, how it relates to each of us, and how we relate to each other.
Maggie and Courtney are seminary students at UWSI (Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute). While finding different passions within the call of ministry, this duo is never short on supporting each other in applying a unique vision while relating to others.
About Courtney Holton:
Courtney is a native Texan who lives in Austin Texas and attends Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute as a ministerial student. Courtney has been pursuing her spiritual education through the former Unity Worldwide Ministries for the past two years. After completing all the Spiritual Enrichment Education courses, she is now beginning her path to becoming a Unity minister through UWSI (Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute). She has served her spiritual community in Austin as a chaplain, platform leader, and youth sponsor.
Courtney’s focus is on how the science and metaphysical aspects of Unity’s principles meet up and work together.
Maggie Alderman is a native Texan from El Paso. After being raised in Unity her entire life and steeped in the principles and other teachings she finally answered the call to ministry! She finished her S.E.E. (Spritual Enrichment and Education) required courses last summer and is currently enrolled with UWSI (Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute) where she is just about to begin her second term. She currently lives just outside of Austin and is a member of Unity Church in Wimberley where she is active as a board member, chaplain, and platform assistant. As a mother of three teenagers she has discovered through everyday life moments her ability to take in the core Unity teachings and interpret them in ways that are applicable current day. In any Sunday service lesson, you can expect to get a dose of solid, core Unity lessons using current day references, a bit of humor, and tools for life application.
