With Rev. Jimmie Scott
The joy and beauty of Easter are found in all the symbolism of the Easter stories that impact our consciousness. This impact occurs in ways that are observable, and in ways that are not immediately observable.
Both ways are powerful. But in those latter ways, the impact can be more powerful, because they have had time to simmer in the soul. When they spring forth into our awareness, they bring a level of understanding of life we did not believe was available to us. Thus, in moments of finite disappointments, we can often find that we can access infinite hope!
“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” – Martin Luther King
