Rev. Ronald L. Fritts was ordained as a Unity minister in 2011 through the Field Licensing Program, with Rev. Linda Martella-Whitsett as his mentor. His introduction to Unity was when he served as director of music for Unity Temple on the Plaza in Kansas City. He served as the minister at Unity of Quincy, in Quincy, IL for 7 years. He has served as President of the Great Lakes Unity Region Executive Ministry Team, and has served on the Unity Worldwide Ministries Alternative Ordination and Credentialing Teams. He is a certified Ministry Skills Consultant for Unity Worldwide Ministries.
Rev. Ron has a B.A. in Religion from Anderson University, and attended seminary there. He was ordained as a Church of God minister, and served congregations in Indiana, Colorado, Ohio and Nebraska, from 1969-1982. Before becoming a Unity minister he had a 19-year career as a YMCA Director.
Rev. Ron and wife, Cindy have been married 30 years. They have 2 children, a wonderful daughter-in-law and son-in-law, and 7 grandchildren. They have also been foster parents to 7 children, hosted several college baseball players in their home, and currently have a dog and 3 cats in their family.
Ron’s volunteer work has included being a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children, an assistant baseball coach for John Wood Community College, and directing and singing in a community chorus.
