Affirmation: I am grateful for the love I receive.
Today, we will be talking about all the ways we have experienced the presence of fathers and father figures in our lives. We will look at the role of our own fathers, grandfathers, and other significant male energy that has guided and directed our paths.
Adult volunteers will provide information about what the presence of male energy means and will provide an opportunity for children and teens to explore their own thoughts about this topic. Through stories, quotations and sharing of our own (and children/teens) life stories, we will piece together what a dad is and why we celebrate his presence.
Children and teens will be able to identify ways they have been cared for or nurtured. They will explore the reasons to be grateful for this attention, and they will understand how to integrate an appreciation for caregivers and caregiving into their daily lives.
Principle #2: I am naturally good because God’s divinity is in me. My caregivers are naturally good because God’s divinity is in them!
Principle #3: I create my experience by what I choose to think, feel, and believe. And my caregivers do the same!
As always, I invite each of you to join us in our classroom on a Sunday morning. You may just find that your spiritual life is enriched by the lessons we are sharing. We are especially looking for volunteers who are willing to serve during the summer months – June, July, and August!
