Here’s What’s Happening in Youth Ministry… Important Reminder: No Youth Classes This Week!
It’s 5th Sunday, so there are no youth classes this week. All children and teens are welcome to attend the service. Wear your family-friendly, church-appropriate costumes and join in the fun! Directly following the service in the Community Center we will have our Halloween party with trick-or-treat tables and tons of resources from our Unity groups and teams. Please click on the link to the website for more information. http://bit.ly/2dvltSc Don’t forget to bring a festive snack or treat to share for Social Hour! Please note that we can only provide supervision of children while they are checked into class. Otherwise, families must supervise, monitor, and be responsible for their child(ren) at all times while on campus.
Upcoming Events & Reminders
Don’t miss out! Sign up to get your Holiday Photos Taken Sunday, November 6!
We are very excited to offer this opportunity for families to have professional pictures taken for the holidays. Congregant, and professional photographer, Sue Johnson is sharing her time and talent with us on November 6. Photos will be available for download online the following week so there is plenty of time to send out for the holidays. There is a $45 sitting fee (proceeds will go to Youth Ministry). Please click on the link to sign up for your time slot. http://bit.ly/2eavFiV
Teen Spiritual Gifts Self-Discovery Study Sunday, October 16-November 13
Uniteens and YOU will be doing a 5-week study facilitated by Jennifer Gates during our normal Sunday morning class time. This study will help the teens reveal some of the spiritual gifts that are already present, and some of the deeper passions and truths that can lead to fulfillment in relationships and Sacred Service. This is a truly exciting opportunity and we encourage teen participation for as much of the 5-week study as possible.
Youth Ministry Check In
Please help us remind families that our youth no longer join us at the beginning of the 11:00 a.m. service. Upon arrival, please walk your children and teens over to room 104 and check them in for spiritual classes. *Parents with youth in Pre-K through 8th grade will receive an identification badge that matches the youth name badge. All badges MUST be collected at the end of class to complete the sign-out process. *High school students must still check in to the system, but do not wear name badges.
In love, light, and service,
Alicia Whitsett, Unity of SA Cooperative Youth and Family Ministry Director
