Inspiration from Unity World HeadquartersAt Unity, we affirm the inherent dignity, worth, and spiritual identity of every person. We recognize that humanity expresses its relationship with the Divine through many paths, traditions, and sincere convictions.
We are aware of recent changes to the U.S. Department of Defense’s religious classification system, which significantly reduces the number of recognized faith identifiers. While administrative systems may change, Unity holds that no list can define or limit the universal presence of God, nor the authentic spiritual lives of individuals.
We believe that honoring religious and spiritual diversity strengthens our shared humanity. The ability for individuals to see their faith tradition acknowledged supports belonging, spiritual well-being, and the free exercise of religion.
Our teachings remind us:
* There is only one Presence and one Power—active in all people and all faiths.
* Truth is not confined to any single tradition, but is revealed in diverse ways across humanity.
* Spiritual care is most meaningful when it honors the unique beliefs and lived experiences of each individual.
We join with others across faith traditions in affirming the importance of religious inclusion, compassionate care, and the freedom of every person to name and live their faith authentically.
We hold in prayer all who serve, and all who support them, that they may experience belonging, respect, and access to the spiritual support that nourishes their lives.
In all things, Unity remains committed to being a voice for inclusivity, understanding, and love in action.

September HappeningsSeptember 2nd — Guided Meditation | 1st & 2nd Wednesdays Worldwide humanity has always sought peace. Grounded, centered, stillness. With this in mind, please join us the 1st and 2nd Wednesdays of each month as we embrace this longing with one hour of guided meditation from the worlds spiritual teachings. Our focus... peace. September 4th— Lights. Camera. Compassion (FANTASTIC FUNGI) Beneath your feet, an ancient and extraordinary world is quietly at work. Fantastic Fungi is a breathtaking cinematic journey into the mysterious and magnificent world of mushrooms — and what they reveal about life, death, healing, and the profound interconnectedness of all living things. September 6th — Newcomer's Potluck First Sundays we feature a newcomer potluck. September’s theme is ‘Foods that start with the letter ‘S’, so think shepherd’s pie, scalloped potatoes, salads, sweet potatoes, strawberries, sushi… you get the idea. Sign up in the Community Café to bring your favorite “S” dish. Wednesday, September 9th — World Day of Prayer Love is Alive - and on this World Day of Prayer, we gather to feel it. Join us Wednesday, September 9th, from 5-9 p.m. for a sacred evening weaving together the ancient voices of Native American flute, the healing resonance of Tibetan singing bowls and the global chorus of the World Day of Prayer livestream. We'll open twith a shared meal - tacos! - at 5 p.m., because good food is its own kind of communion. Across every tradition, across every border, lvoe is the thread that binds us all. September 13 and 20— Membership Class Are you curious about membership at Unity of San Antonio? Our next membership class is coming up in September, and we'd love to have you! There are two sessions, both on Sundays at 12:45pm and each running about an hour and a half. On September 13th we'll dive into Unity's 5 Principles, and on September 20th we'll explore Unity history and what membership is all about. Not ready for membership but curious about the 5 Principles? You are so welcome to join us for that class on its own. And longtime members who'd love a refresher - come on back! All are welcome. Saturday, September 19th — EarthCare Trash Pickup Every piece of trash picked up is a love letter to the Earth. Join the EarthCare Team at Shadow Mist Trailhead. 6441 Shadow Mist Rd., Leon Valley, TX 78238. Real impact. Great company. Bring gloves and water. September 25th — Annual Talent Show Every year we discover something wonderful — our community is FULL of hidden talent! Join us September 25th from 6-10pm for our Annual Unity of San Antonio Talent Show, a joyful evening of music, laughter, and surprises that will remind you just how extraordinary the people in this community truly are. Come perform, come September 26th — Labyrinth Walk Celebrate the Earth's change of seasons with a labyrinth walk at Denman Estate Park, 7735 Mockingbird Ln. Bring a prayer or a poem honoring the Earth. After this meditative walk, enjoy the nature, ducks, and gifted structures from Korea around the park. September 26th — Wildscape Your Yard Help save the aquifer, provide pollinators food, and get free plants if your within the SAWS district! We'll cover yard design, the best native plants for your yard, and SAWS plant coupons. Michaela Lundsford, 251-232-1294, 4807 Pico Pico St., SAT, will be hosting this event in her home and yard. Bring your gardening gloves!

IYOU DonationsThis past month, I had the pleasure of taking two of our YOUers (highschool age) to IYOU, International Youth of Unity Rally (Retreat) in Unity Village. It was amazing with wonderful music, lots of meditations, games, service, and connections with new and old friends from around the country. I heard so many of the teens there share how much their regional rally and the IYOU Rally made a profound difference in their lives. Thank you for helping to make this possible for our teens.
